I'm CCing Simon Wunderlich as the part of the local topology might

Fair enough, it sounds like a good proposal to me.
I would prefer to keep track of these proposals on github.

github issue tracker will think I'm talking to myself :-D
If you don't have time, let me know and I'll do it.
But if you do have time, it would be nice if you could propose a draft
JSON structure, then we can collectively improve it if needed.
