I am referring to the name of the section and its layout. IMO, the name
should be something generic like "addressing". Then each list item
should have an explicit "proto" that defines the type of configuration
as described in my previous e-mail. Also, instead of "version: 4" I
would use "family: ipv4" (an enumeration not an integer).
Such a generic approach seems more future proof to me.
